About the Artist

Lindsay Foster is an Award winning visual artist from Guelph Ontario.
She specializes in pencil/charcoal drawings
and oil painting, but often likes to experiment
with different mediums and new techniques.
In 2005, Lindsay opened her own business
simply entitled Lindsay Foster Visual Artist
(LFVA). The focus of the business is to
provide custom art including: people and pet
portraits from photographs, children’s custom
art, murals, as well as her original work.
Currently, Lindsay is showcasing her work at various artshows in Ontario including the
Cottage Country Craft Show in Muskoka and the Guelph Art Festival Weekends. Her
permanent home is her booth at the St Jacobs Sunday Market where you can
view/purchase her work and talk to her in person every Saturday and Sunday. Lindsay has
also been invited to join the Masterpiece Project taking place in September 2008,
commissioned to paint an outdoor community mural in Kitchener ON and chosen to illustrate
a children’s book for the Alliance for a New Humanity. Lindsay also dedicates a portion of
her week to teaching children’s art classes. In the last 2 years she has taught private
lessons in Woodbridge ON, group lessons at the Royal Botanical Gardens in Burlington ON
and is currently working with another artist in Guelph ON running an after school art
program.
Lindsay has always been interested in art. She began oil painting when she was just 12
years old. It was her favourite subject throughout high school and continued with it at the
University of Guelph, obtaining a degree in Fine Art with a minor degree in Art History. She
has won several awards for her achievements and is constantly looking for different
inspiration and ways to grow as an artist. During the next couple of years Lindsay will stay
focused on being a full time artist, promoting her work in Ontario and expanding through
Canada.
If you would like any further information on upcoming events or projects, you can contact
Lindsay anytime by phone or email. All contact information is available on her website www.
